Redneck Baby Proffing: Tub/Shower water Faucet

Shaynna, This is for you... I hope it is Brenner proof!

What do you do when your toddler keeps turning that dang bathtub faucet onto HOT water? You dig into you cupboard (or storage shed) and find a solution!!!!!

Today's redneck solution requires a colander (I figure most people have more than one of these and if they don't have one, the thrift store or dollar store does) (or a used ice cream bucket with a couple holes poked in the side to thread rubber bands through), a couple rubber bands, and a REALLY GOOD suction cup!

First, loop rubberbands through the holes on the edges of your colander. Loop the bottom rubber band under the water spout. Ooops! Looks like my faucet could use a scrub down!

Then attach the suction cup to the wall above the faucet handle and loop the rubber band around the knob or hook on the suction cup. If you have tile, the suction cup may not work well, you'll have to try it out to see. Use different sizes of rubber band to get a tighter fit on the colander.

It's easy to put together. And it should hold up to toddlers....that is, unless your toddler has some sort of super human strength because he was abducted by aliens the last time you went fishing! LOL!
